Like I knew it would, the rest of my break went by too quickly.
I had to spend my time snuggling the pets as much as I could.
As cuddly as she is, she aint no boyfriend.
It hadn't been 24 hours and I was already missing my boyfriend.
I guess he missed me too because he sent me this pic.
...and then followed that one up with this 10 minutes later:
He even made it on the sidebar of my blog.
Yep, that's right!
You heard it here first, this girl is in love.
Who fell first?
That is still up for debate ;)
I stuffed my face and watched season 4 of Mad Men the rest of the break. I also caught up on Nurse Jackie and United States of Tara.

My Dad and I made a stop at My Aunt Sandra and Uncle Richard's house to visit. 10 minutes later, Jeff and Brandi walked in the door with baby Sloan.
The poor thing broke her leg and has to wear a cast for several weeks.
Of course the first thing I worried about was if the break was in the epiphyseal plates.
Look at me being nurse like.

I soaked up some sunsets and sun in general over the next couple of days.

I was up really late and the 8 AM alarm came way too soon.
I didn't cry this time while packing and heading to the airport.
My mother told me I should check my bag at the curbside and I always have a weird feeling that they are going to lose my bag or send it to the wrong place. Just something about them taking it from me right off the curb just doesn't seem right.
Well, I did it anyway.
...and guess what happened?
I proceeded to the security check-point and waited 15 minutes in line (this is after sitting in 20 extra minutes of traffic on 360). I am, no joke, 3 people away from handing the security dude my ID and boarding pass and I notice my boarding pass says "Diane Elder".
Say wha?
The man down by the curb checked me in as the wrong person. Way to go buddy. I'm already running behind, but I jump out of line and found a kiosk. Lucky for me, I was only the third one in line at this one. The others had several people, but I didn't have any baggage to check....because I already had......downstairs....as "Diane". I get my new boarding pass and get back into another 15 minute line to go through security. I was nice and went to the counter at my gate to inform them of the mistake. I didn't know if this was going to cause a problem for this Diane lady. The problem resolved and it was then time to board.
I sat between an older man and a girl who could be my age or a little younger. She was a diva and ordered hot tea...and then asked for milk to put in her tea...and then asked for sugar. The flight attendant spent a good 10 minutes on this girl and made 3 trips to the front of the plane. I ordered...water. Simple.
I couldn't figure out who's perfume/cologne I was choking on. There was a point where I got a whiff of something stinky and was wishing for the perfume/cologne to come back and cover it up.
We landed..everything was great...and then I sat down to wait for my baggage.
I must of had my "Talk to me" sticker plastered on my forehead. What is it about wearing headphones and staring into space that screams "TALK TO ME". I would think it would be the opposite. I need to remember to put on my angry face next time. I was nice and let this poor guy use my phone to log on to facebook to retrieve a number and call his ride (his phone had died). I did find out he went to Duke (the only reason I let him use my phone) and that he had to take summer school. He was in Japan studying abroad and was supposed to be there a year, but then the earthquake happened. Bummer.
I picked up Stesha on my way home from the airport and we went to a late lunch. On my way (driving by Duke Hospital) I noticed a hotdog stand. I guess these things pop up during the summer. The good thing is I will be working there for my clinical. Maybe I 'll grab one one day.
I received two more syllabi and plugged them into my calendar.
THIS SEMESTER SUCKS AND IT HASN'T BEGUN YET.
To top it off, I realized I get one out of the next ten days off. Yay!
I read a couple of chapters for mental health and pharmacology. I'm going to need to finish that stuff up tomorrow before Thursday's lecture.
Here is the updated calendar.
I still need two more class schedules before it is complete.
Time to pass out!
