Walks, Froyo, and Central Market

Monday, I got out and went for my first walk in Houston. I've quickly realized that the treadmill will not satisfy my needs. I need to be outside in the sun. Without a job, it is easy to sit at home in the apartment and not see outside for days. I refuse for that to happen to me.

There is a flower and plant shop on the corner of our street. We have plans to go there and get some flowers pretty soon. The shop has decorated the median and I couldn't NOT take a pic of the bushes.

I looked on the gps and saw that there was a residential area just up the road, so I headed that way. I feel safer and not so overwhelmed with Houston traffic in a neighborhood.
I didn't realize I had stepped into one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the Houston area.
River Oaks:

I was amazed at the sizes of the houses and the lots...smack dab in Houston!

I walked almost 2 and half miles and called it quits. I was parched.

Scout is being cuter than ever. I miss her when I put her in her crate and when I leave the house. She is starting to show her personality and I see her as an individual now.
For the past 2 days she has been barking at the door and her leash (hanging on the wall) when she has wanted to go out to potty. This is a big step!

We began teaching her sit last night and she mastered it. She walks around with us in the apartment and just sits all the time. I can tell she enjoys praise more than anything because she seems to want to please us with her sitting to be touched.

compromise: him watching Baseball while I watch the Bachelorette

Today, we went to get froyo. I hadn't had any in forever and this places has cake batter, my absolute favorite flavor.

We followed that up with a trip to Central Market. My parents gave us a giftcard last month and we finally used it.

I applied for 2 more NICU jobs, yesterday. Now that I am in the process of transferring my NC license to TX, I feel more confident when applying for jobs.
I should have my TX temp license within the next 10 days.

Here is a video of our trip to the water wall last Sunday:

Oh yeah, I have imported my posts from my old blog into this new one. Every post is now in one place.
Thanks for keeping up with me!
