Thursday was our last day of lab for the semester. We were split into groups and were given a diet we had to construct for a hypothetical patient. My group's patient needed a renal diet. It wasn't all that easy. If it was low in sodium, it would be high in potassium. It was hard to win this fight. All I know is I hope I never have kidney failure. It's a horrid diet.
The second half of lab we had to either be the patient or the nurse and then switch off. There was a script the patient had to follow while the nurse assessed the right body parts. I did pretty well.
Friday was my last day of clinical for the semester.
See below.
It was only a half day.
Part of my clinical group and I went to celebrate at Rick's Diner.
I couldn't decide if I wanted breakfast for lunch or just a normal lunch.
I chose lunch. The food was mediocre and I wish I had gone with breakfast.
There just so happened to be a froyo place next door. I popped my head in and saw that they had cake flavor...and peanut butter. I filled up a cup and went to pay. I was shocked when the total came to $1.51
This is by far the CHEAPEST frozen yogurt I have ever found.
Right after lunch, Stesha and I went to go see Water For Elephants at the movies.
Stop what you are doing right now and go see it. It was a great story and the cinematography was amazing.
The man (Christoph Waltz) who plays the antagonist in this movie is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors. After seeing him in Inglourious Basterds as Col Hans Landa, I wanted more...and this movie delivered. He plays mean all too well.
The rest of the evening I listened to the rain fall while I relaxed.
Saturday I went for a nice run.
I am really liking the trail I've been going on.
Dinner was at Sweet Tomatoes. The closest one is in Cary, so it was a bit of a drive.
Happy Easter
This morning I had to be up at school to meet with my group for an assignment.
School on Sunday...ewww.
Jason's Deli was calling our name for lunch, but it was closed because it is Easter.
Panera was open...so we enjoyed the food there instead.
At 3:30 Stesha and I met up with Kit who had extra tickets for the Men's ACC Lacrosse game.
Duke vs. Maryland
Me, Stesha, and Kit |
Kit's boyfriend in college played for Maryland. She knew a lot of facts and rules about LAX and I got to learn quite a bit.
The sun was out and it made for a pretty day.
90 degrees =)
Time for a Sprite!
Duke ended up losing, but I had a great time.
Watching lacrosse made me miss Lance =(
Good news!
The semester is wrapping up and I'll be home so SOON!
I came home after the game and went for a jog/walk.
I felt like I was in the Shire.
Has anyone seen Frodo?
