Driving Day #2

The alarm came way too soon this morning.
I squeezed in about 5 or so hours before the 5:30 AM buzz.

Alley has had the habit of staring me down every morning.

We had another day of driving ahead of us.

I took the driver's seat for the first shift of the day.

It's best that I drive in the mornings:

case in point

Atlanta Skyline (from far away)

After the AL/GA border and a time change, we stopped for lunch at McDonalds a little north of Atlanta.
It was another fancy stop:

Dad took the next shift.

Me: "Are we there yet?"

case in point

I awoke to find us in Greenville, NC.
It reminded me of Miss Carla.

Clemson

I don't understand what this was all about....but I made sure to take a picture.

I made sure to let Alley out to stretch every now and then.
cuddle time

I then spent 2o minutes using tape to get all the cat hair off of me.
She has been shedding like a mad woman.

Alley: "Are we there yet?"

I drove the last 3 hours and there was a fabulous sunset.
We arrived in Durham at around 6 PM (Eastern Time Zone now!)
We were lazy and ordered from Randy's Pizza who delivers right to the hotel.

Alley has settled in nicely.
