Moving Day #1

Once again, we awoke bright and early.
The Pod people called and informed us that they would be delivering my pod around 9:30.
The office where I would be getting my keys did not open until 9.
We were pressed for time, but we managed to get there before they showed up.
I signed all the paper work and ... I got my keys!

We drove over to where I'll be living the next 16 months.
Along the way I noticed a track no more than a mile away. I'm pretty pumped. I can't wait to put some running shoes on and try it out.

The Pod people placed my pod near my home.

We opened it up and...

The guy gave my Mom an "A+" on her packing skills. (Nothing is broken so far)

Thus began a very repetitive cycle:
walk to the pod
pick a box up
break your back
walk back to my home
place box down
...
walk to the pod...etc

Slowly, the place began to fill up with boxes

just starting to get stuff in the kitchen

Getting more stuff in there.

I was surprised to find out that there is an ice machine in the freezer...score!

I really am in love with my view:

I keep waiting for deer to show up and greet me =)

The carpets were cleaned today, so we couldn't really do much upstairs.

This will be my bedroom.

and this will be my "study"

Dad taking a break on the stairs

We didn't get much done upstairs.

The majority of the work was done downstairs.

Dad and I put together my desk chair

...and then we put together my TV stand.

The TV stand was a success.

Tomorrow all of the furniture will be delivered and the cable and internet will be installed.
Tonight is our last night in a hotel.
I'm hoping the weather tonight doesn't hinder our furniture getting to us.
It is supposed to snow tonight.

It is also supposed to snow quite a bit on Monday. We got an email today informing us that orientation may be delayed or rescheduled. =(

I also found out that I am in the lab section that meets from 1-3:30 on Wen/Thurs/Fri.

That's about it.
I'm beat
