Standardized Patient

This has been one of the best weekends. Not because I did anything exciting or out of the ordinary. It's because I did nothing. I've spent countless hours in bed and it has felt amazing! I needed this energy boost.
I did make it out for a walk yesterday.

I had school stuff today. It's really sad that I had to set my alarm clock for 1 pm to make sure I was up in time.
Alley wasn't ready to get up either.

It was my time to go and have my "standardized" patient.
We go into a room with a paid actor and act as if we are a psych nurse and interview them. Not only is the actor grading us, but we are being filmed. We then have to review our performance on the DVD along with one of the professors.
To say I was nervous was an understatement.
I was scared shi...ehm...I mean...I was just scared.
It's one thing for this to be my first time doing something like this...but lets add a camera and a DVD along with it?

I did come out the other end alive. I didn't pass out and I didn't make any huge mistakes....that I know of yet.

I took the time to smell the flowers on my way out.

Duke tends to replace and plant new flowers every couple of weeks.

I was driving to dinner and found this man....reading a newspaper...at a stoplight.
I was entertained.

I am now snuggled in bed ready to conquer the world tomorrow at clinical.
Goodnight!
