The weekend has come and gone and I am one day into my week.
I've been running everyday. I haven't seen a deer since the last time I wrote =(
The weather has been hot again. I'm ready for it to cool down!
I am extremely excited about the Fall shows starting back up.
I even made a list:
I know it seems like a lot...well...it is a lot, but I will cut a bunch out I'm sure after I watch their pilots.
So, no deer on the runs...but I did see a tractor!
I made some chili and taco meat yesterday.
The chili was just about gone after lunch and dinner yesterday.
It had been so long that I gobbled it all up.
I arose early for class this morning and the day started with maternity.
Learning that labor is more than a little discomfort and that it feels like your insides are exploding really makes me want to have a kid....not!
We learned a lot of safety measures that the hospital (and us nurses...and the parents!) enforces to keep babies safe.
Did you know that babies have 2 name bands that match with the mother's arm band? They also have a GPS like tracking device on them that sets off an alarm if it is tampered with...or the child is taken off the unit.
During our Leadership class, a girl announced she brought banana pudding. I'm not a huge fan of banana pudding, but I decided to try it.
This stuff was amazing!
I need to get the recipe because it is one of my Dad's favorite snacks....and Lance's too.
We did some role playing in Leadership to practice with job interviews and proposing new ideas to a staff nurse.
I was home by 4:00 and was out the door running by 4:15.
I read a chapter in my Research book and posted on the class's discussion board (one of the weekly requirements). I can check that off my list of things to do.
I plan on relaxing the rest of the evening and enjoying some new TV shows.
Chao!
